Tube Failure Detection (TFD) System

Patent No. 7,001,153 and 7,284,964

No False Triggering!

Breakthrough technology for Peristaltic Pumps.

The TFD system will detect a wide range of chemicals (i.e. chlorine, acids, soaps, etc.). This unique technology was designed NOT to false trigger by condensation and washdown. Many companies require the TFD system for their peristaltic pumps.

How does it work?

If a chemical is detected in the pumphead (by tube failure), the pump will automatically shut off and energize a relay, permitting communications with external equipment, such as an alarm or a SCADA system. The chemical must be cleaned from the pump head and the tubing should be replaced before the pump will start again.

  • The TFD system ships as standard on the most popular peristaltic pump models. No extra cost to you.
  • The sensors are located within the pumphead. Sensors are constructed of chemical resistant Hastelloy-C.
  • Only Blue-White offers this technologyPatent No. 7,001,153 and 7,284,964
