Leak Alarm Controllers for Leak Detection Cable
The Icon Process Controls LeakPro® LeakDtec® controllers watch a run of LDC-G leak detection cable laid along a bund, sump, floor or the space in a double-walled tank, and raise the alarm the moment a conductive liquid such as water, acid or caustic touches it. A relay then stops a pump, closes a valve or signals your controller or BMS.
Three models:
- LD1C – one zone, with LEDs and a buzzer, 2 A relay
- LD4C – four zones, four 3 A relays and RS-485 Modbus
- LDC-M – one zone on a DIN rail, for a control panel
Adjustable Sensitivity
Four sensitivity levels are set by a switch. At the most sensitive, about 1 cm of wetted cable raises the alarm (tested with tap water), so the controller can be set for the liquid on site.
A complete system: controller, LDC-G cable (1, 3, 10 or 30 m, or custom), cable clips and a 24 V DC supply; a ProAlert® 2 adds a red light and a 108 dB alarm. The LD1C and LDC-M relays are rated to 120 V AC: to switch 230 V AC equipment, use the LD4C (250 V AC) or an interposing relay.
