Versatile, High-Performance Commercial Salt Chlorination
PureSalt Pro® is the result of a collaboration between Watermaid, a trusted name in the Australian pool industry, and Chemtrol Australia. Launching in 2025, it is designed for pools up to 100,000 liters, with future models scaling to 500,000 liters.
It integrates seamlessly with Chemtrol controllers to deliver reliable performance, consistent water quality, and long-term durability in demanding environments.
Ideal for council facilities, hotels, motels, commercial apartments, resort pools, and Learn to Swim or hydrotherapy pools, the chlorinator is compatible with traditional salt, mineral salt blends, magnesium chloride, and other commercially available salt blends.

Smart Controller Integration
Energy-Efficient Chlorination with Real-Time Automation
PureSalt Pro integrates seamlessly with the Chemtrol programmable controller using voltage-free dry contact wiring. This enables precise on/off control based on actual chlorine demand. While continuously powered, the chlorinator only activates when needed – delivering efficient chlorination, energy savings, and fully automated operation for commercial pools.
Maintenance Alerts When It Matters
Automatic Notifications for Reliable Water Quality
The Chemtrol controller issues a maintenance alert whenever the salt cell requires cleaning or service. This intelligent feature is enabled by a feedback signal from the PureSalt Pro, which detects when chlorine output drops below the programmed setpoint. Operators are promptly notified, helping to prevent service interruptions and ensuring consistent water quality.
Backup Chlorination for Peace of Mind
External GPO for liquid chlorine pump connection
For small to mid-size commercial pools under 100,000 litres, PureSalt Pro features an integrated GPO (general power outlet) for connecting a backup liquid chlorine dosing pump. This ensures continuous sanitisation during salt cell maintenance or if chlorine production is interrupted – maintaining safe, balanced water conditions at all times.
Built-In Flow Protection
Automatic Shutdown on Low or No Water Flow
PureSalt Pro® works in conjunction with the Chemtrol controller’s flow switch to continuously monitor water movement. If the flow stops or falls below the required level, the Chemtrol® controller sends a signal to halt chlorine production, preventing over-chlorination and protecting the salt cell – ultimately extending the equipment’s lifespan and ensuring safe, efficient operation.
