One-Way Flow at the Injection Point
A check valve lets the dosed chemical travel one way only. Each pump stroke lifts a spring-loaded ball off its seat; as soon as the stroke ends, or if the pipe pressure is higher, the ball closes and stops process water being pushed back up the chemical line.
GRIFFCO builds this check valve into its injection valves. With a quill, a short tube carries the chemical into the centre of the process pipe, where it mixes quickly and stays off the pipe wall. Without the quill, the same valve is an in-line check valve.
Two Types
- ICV – serviceable injection check valve: a union nut lets the ball, spring and O-ring be inspected or replaced without removing the valve from the line. DN 15 – DN 50, plastic or metal.
- IVQ – one-piece injection check valve: compact, male thread both ends. DN 15 – DN 25, plastic, or metal for very high pressures.
Both come in PVC, CPVC, PVDF, 316 SS, Alloy 20 or Hastelloy C (the ICV also in PP), with standard or custom quill lengths, and as in-line check valves with no quill.

Installation Tip
Face the bevel of the quill tip into the flow for clean liquids, and away from the flow where the chemical could clog the tip.
