Leak Detection Sensors
Point Sensors Where a Leak Collects
Where a leak runs to one place, a single sensor is enough: a drip tray under a dosing pump, a sump, a pit, or the space between the walls of a double-walled tank. Each sensor is a switch (NPN or PNP) that wires to a ProAlert® 2 alarm, to a P2R relay, or straight into a PLC or controller input. They do not connect to the LeakDtec® or LeakPoint® cable controllers.
Three sensors:
- LD – a low, compact floor sensor in polypropylene, for conductive and corrosive liquids; adjustable sensitivity
- LDS – a capacitive proximity sensor that senses a conductive liquid up to 20 mm away, without touching it; PP, 316 stainless steel or PTFE body
- PES – a photoelectric sensor for liquids the others cannot see: oils, fuels, solvents and other non-conductive liquids
P2R Relay
The P2R-10T powers a sensor from 90–265 V AC (230 V AC directly) and turns its signal into a 5 A, 250 V AC relay contact, with an on and off delay of up to 5 seconds to stop the relay chattering.
