pH and ORP Sensors for Wastewater and Process Lines
The Chem400s Series ProcessProbe® is a rugged pH or ORP (redox) sensor for continuous measurement in wastewater, neutralisation pits, plating baths and chemical process lines. It screws straight into a pipe tee for in-line measurement, or onto the end of a pipe for submersion in a tank or pit.
The body is moulded from chemically resistant Ryton® (PPS) with an integral NPT thread. The sealed, double-junction Ag/AgCl reference is highly resistant to poisoning, and the large annular porous Teflon® junction resists fouling, so there is no electrolyte to top up.
Six models, three styles
- Standard length with guard: Chem400s (3/4″ NPT) and Chem405s (1″ NPT). The guard protects the glass bulb.
- Standard length, recessed bulb: Chem410s (3/4″ NPT) and Chem415s (1″ NPT). No guard, with a flat-bulb pH option.
- Extended length with guard: Chem420s (3/4″ NPT) and Chem425s (1″ NPT). The longer body reaches into the flow of a larger pipe.
Every model comes as a pH or an ORP sensor, with built-in temperature compensation and solution ground as options.

Installation
Submersion on a 1″ O.D. pipe with a junction box, or in-line in a 3/4″, 1″ or 1½″ NPT tee. The extended-length models reach through a bushing into the flow of the larger tee.
