MA-WB & MA-CR Inline Bluetooth® Adapters
The Pyxis MA-WB and MA-CR are small adapters that sit between a Pyxis inline sensor and its cable. Once fitted, the sensor can be read, set up and calibrated from a phone, tablet or computer in the uPyxis® app, over Bluetooth® 5.0.
The two are the same inside; only the plug differs, to match the sensor:
- MA-WB: for Pyxis 7-pin sensors
- MA-CR: for Pyxis 8-pin sensors
Each plugs in by hand, with no tools. It takes its 24 V DC from the controller and passes it on to the sensor, and the sensor’s two 4–20 mA signals and RS-485 Modbus pass straight through to the controller, so the existing wiring keeps working as before.
A Screen and Buttons at the Sensor
Both adapters have their own small display and three buttons. They show live readings and give access to calibration, diagnostics and stored data right at the sensor, with no phone needed. A USB-C port gives a wired link to the uPyxis® Desktop app and can power the sensor from a laptop.

The adapters are used to commission, calibrate and check Pyxis inline sensors. The sensor itself is calibrated, not the controller’s reading of it, so the work is done in one place. Leave an adapter fitted for permanent wireless access, or take one from sensor to sensor.
Which Adapter?
- MA-WB (7-pin): for example the HM-500 oil in water, ST-500 PTSA and ST-720/726 conductivity sensors
- MA-CR (8-pin): for example the ST-772 dissolved oxygen and CR-301 corrosion rate sensors

Fitting
Plug the adapter into the sensor’s connector (MA-WB for 7-pin, MA-CR for 8-pin), then plug the sensor cable into the adapter. Power and signals pass through, so nothing changes at the controller.
Connecting
- Phone or tablet: uPyxis® Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, over Bluetooth®.
- Windows 10 or later: uPyxis® Desktop, through the computer’s own Bluetooth®.
- By cable: USB-C to uPyxis® Desktop. USB mode is off when the adapter is new and must be turned on first.
Turning On USB Mode
- Connect the adapter to the computer with a USB-C cable. This powers it on.
- Use the left and right buttons to reach the “USB to RS-485” screen, then press the centre button.
- Press the centre button again to enable USB. The screen shows “ON”.
