LDC Leak Detection Cable

LDC Leak Detection Cable

Senses a Leak Anywhere Along Its Length

LeakPro® LDC sensing cable is laid along a floor, bund or containment wherever a leak may run. Liquid anywhere along its length bridges the sensing wires and the controller raises the alarm. The wires are wound in a spiral inside a conductive fluoropolymer jacket and sit 1 mm above the floor, so dirt, metal or debris do not set off false alarms, and the polyethylene cable draws surface liquid onto the wires.

Two cables, not interchangeable:

  • LDC-G – 2-wire cable, for the LeakDtec® controllers, the LDC-M module and the ProAlert® 2 PA223-LD
  • LDC-PC – 4-wire leak-locating cable, for the LeakPoint® controller; acid and alkali resistant

What It Detects

Conductive liquids: water, glycol, brine, acids and caustics. It does not detect oils, fuels or solvents; for those, use the PES photoelectric sensor. The standard LDC-G is chemically resistant but not rated for long exposure to acids or alkalis: for aggressive chemicals, ask us about LDC-PC.

Accessories

  • LDC-L – lead cable from the controller to the sensing cable (LDC-G)
  • LDC-PC-L – lead cable for LDC-PC
  • LDC-TE – end terminal, closes the loop at the end of an LDC-PC run
  • LDC-PC-M / LDC-PC-F – connectors to join LDC-PC lengths
  • CCPP – polypropylene hold-down clips, about every 1.5–2 m
  • CC304 – stainless steel clips
