LT-630 Series Self-Wiping Turbidity Sensors
Turbidity in Dirty Water, up to 4,000 NTU
The Pyxis LT-630 series are submersible turbidity sensors that keep their own optics clean. A wiper sweeps the sensor face on a timer, so air bubbles, slime and settled solids do not build up and drag the reading off. They are made for raw, storm and process water and for discharges, where turbidity is high and the water is far from clean.
The transmitter is built in. Each sensor gives isolated 4–20 mA and RS-485 Modbus outputs for a controller, PLC or DCS, and can be set up, calibrated and checked over Bluetooth® with the uPyxis® app.
- LT-631: 0 – 500 NTU
- LT-632: 0 – 1,000 NTU
- LT-633: 0 – 4,000 NTU
Measuring clean water? For drinking water, filtered water and anything below 1 NTU, the LT-73X ultra-low turbidity sensors read down to 0.001 NTU. The LT-630 covers the other end of the scale: submersed in tanks, channels and basins, with a wiper to cope with dirty water.
Self-Wiping Optics
Two infrared light sources measure the light scattered by particles in the water, in line with ISO 7027. A 316L stainless steel arm with a PTFE blade wipes the lens at an interval you set in the uPyxis app, or on demand. Kept clean, the sensor holds its calibration within 0.1 NTU for up to a year. It can be calibrated with formazin standards or with a sample of your own water whose turbidity has been measured.

Ideal for Raw, Storm and Process Water
The LT-630 series suits raw and surface water intakes, stormwater, process water and treated discharges, where turbidity runs high and sensors foul quickly. It can sit fixed in a tank or channel on ¾” conduit, hang from its lifting ring on a chain or cable (for example to profile the sludge bed in a clarifier or thickener), or, for the LT-632 and LT-633, run inline in a bypass line through the ST-008 tee.
