Non-Contact 80 GHz Radar and Guided Wave Radar for Tanks up to 20 m
The Icon Process Controls LevelPro® radar sensors measure liquid level continuously in chemical storage tanks, sumps and process vessels. Radar is not affected by vapour, outgassing or temperature, so readings stay steady where ultrasonic sensors struggle.
Five sensors cover different tanks and sites:
- ProScan® 3 – 80 GHz, non-contact, CPVC or 316 stainless steel, Bluetooth set-up
- ProScan® LRT – 80 GHz, non-contact, LoRa wireless for remote and outdoor tanks
- ProScan® 2 – 80 GHz, non-contact, PTFE antenna, general purpose or explosion-proof
- ProScan® – 26 GHz, non-contact, for foam and vapour
- MLR-70 – guided wave radar (contact), FEP-coated probe, for foam, condensate and turbulence
Mounting on Plastic and Dome-Roof Tanks
The SBF self-aligning bulkhead fitting rotates up to 20°, so the sensor can be aimed straight down even on a sloping dome roof. It is corrosion resistant and made for plastic tanks.
