Optimizing Chemical Usage with the Chemical Saver Program

The Chemical Saver Program is designed to help reduce the oxidizer or sanitizer level during periods of low usage, such as at night or on weekends.

When to Use the Chemical Saver Program

🔹Nighttime or Low Usage: It’s ideal to reduce sanitizer feed during low activity times, such as when the pool is covered or when there is insufficient water mixing (e.g., at night, without swimmers or convection currents). This helps prevent chemical stratification, which can lead to over-chlorination.

🔹Pool Covers: When a pool cover is in place, chlorination should be completely stopped to avoid excessive sanitizer levels.

Chemical Saver Program Modes

The program can be set to three modes:

  • MANUAL: The program starts immediately and runs continuously until it is turned off or switched to AUTO.
  • OFF: The program is disabled.
  • AUTO: The program runs automatically based on a schedule defined by the operator.

Weekly Scheduling (AUTO Mode)

When set to AUTO, the operator can define a schedule for the Chemical Saver Program through the Weekly Scheduling Sub-menu. All scheduling times are expressed in the standard 24-hour format. Operators can choose specific start and end times for any day of the week.
