Sensor Calibration Made Simple

CHEMTROL® sensors support flexible calibration with 1, 2, or 3-point methods — adjusting for origin, slope, and curvature as needed. Most applications only require a fast and simple 1-point calibration, which can be completed in as little as 10 seconds via our intuitive menu.

Important: For quick calibration, do not remove the sensors from the by-pass line assembly.

How to Calibrate

You can perform sensor calibration directly on the controller or remotely via a PC, laptop, or any mobile device. The easiest way is through the CHEMTROL® App, available on Apple and Android devices.

Calibration Methods

1-Point Calibration
Quick and ideal for most installations. Simply test a water sample using your test kit, then enter that value into the controller. This sets the origin of the sensor reading. The controller uses the built-in slope for the equation: Display = a + slope × input

2-Point Calibration
For more precise control, use two buffer or standard solutions that differ significantly. This allows the controller to calculate both the origin and slope: Display = a + b × input

3-Point Calibration
For highly accurate calibration, use three spaced buffer values to account for curvature. This generates a polynomial equation: Display = a + b × input + c × input²

Note: Sensors for pressure and flow only support direct 1-point calibration.
