Pump Control for Efficient Pool Operation

The CHEMTROL® PC7000 and PC7100 Integrated Controllers offer automated pump control, ensuring efficient water circulation and system protection.

These controllers also feature automated backwash cycles for single or multiple filters, using either a fixed schedule or pressure differential triggers.

The same advanced pump management is available on the CHEMTROL® PC4000 Filter Controller.

Simplified Pump Management

The PUMP MENU allows pool operators to choose between:

✔ Manual Mode – Keeps the pump running continuously, 24/7.

✔ Automatic Mode – Runs the pump on a customizable seven-day schedule, reducing energy costs and optimizing water circulation.

To enhance efficiency, the system uses flow and pressure sensor readings to automatically trigger filter backwash cycles. The built-in “Fireman” protection feature ensures heater cooldown before pump shutdown, preventing damage and extending equipment life.

Customizable Pump Control Settings

Operators can easily adjust settings through the PUMP MENU, which includes:

– Run Mode: Choose manual 24/7 operation or automated scheduling.

– Pressure Monitoring: Real-time influent and effluent pressure readings (psi or kg/cm²), with calibration options.

– Flow Monitoring: Displays flow rate (gpm or m³/s) and cumulative total flow (gal or m³) for accurate tracking.

– Heater Delay (“Fireman” Protection): Prevents heater damage by allowing proper cooldown before the pump turns off.

– Pump Safety Controls:
    ✔ Flow switch monitoring to detect water movement.
    ✔ High/low pressure limits to shut down the pump if needed, preventing damage from filter or valve malfunctions.

The PUMP MENU works in tandem with the FILTER CONTROL, ensuring a smooth backwash process and preventing operational disruptions.
