IK-739-PLUS & IK-736-PLUS Auto-Brushing Turbidity Analyzers

IK-739-PLUS & IK-736-PLUS Auto-Brushing Turbidity Analyzers

The Pyxis IK-73X-PLUS analysers measure turbidity continuously, with a resolution of 0.002 NTU. Each one comes complete on a single wall panel, set up, tested and calibrated at the factory. Connect the sample line, the drain and the power, and it is ready to run.

  • IK-739-PLUS: 0.000 – 40.00 NTU, with the LT-739 sensor
  • IK-736-PLUS: 0.000 – 1,000 NTU, with the LT-736 sensor

The panel holds the turbidity sensor in its brushing flow cell, an FS-100 ultrasonic flow meter with a motorised valve that keeps the sample flow at a set rate, and a 7-inch touch screen that displays, logs and passes on the readings.

A Brush Keeps the Lens Clean

The sensor looks through a flat quartz window. A motorised brush in the FT-100-PLUS flow cell wipes it as often as you set, so fouling can’t build up, and the flat window stops air bubbles settling on it. The reading stays steady with very little attention.

The IK-73X-PLUS is for sites where turbidity has to be watched around the clock: drinking water and secondary supply, raw surface water, cooling and process water, and wastewater effluent. It runs on a mains plug, logs every reading on the panel, and sends the results on to a PLC or SCADA system.

Key Features

  • Resolution 0.002 NTU; range 0 – 40 NTU or 0 – 1,000 NTU
  • Warm white LED at 90° scatter, to USEPA 180.1 (US)
  • Motorised brush cleans the sensor window on a programmable cycle
  • Flat quartz window resists air-bubble interference
  • FS-100 ultrasonic flow meter and motorised valve hold the sample flow steady, with a no-flow alarm
  • 7-inch colour touch screen with calibration and diagnostics built in
  • Stores up to 1 million readings and events, downloaded by USB
  • Two 4–20 mA outputs, RS-485 Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP over Ethernet; two 4–20 mA inputs
  • Set up, tested and calibrated at the factory
  • Calibrated on site with the L-CAL portable calibration kit
  • Mounting: wall panel 750 H × 450 W × 243 D mm, about 15 kg. Use fixings rated for the weight.
  • Power: plugs into a standard mains outlet.
  • Sample: inlet pressure 0.05 – 0.67 MPa (7.25 – 100 psi), flow 100 – 2,000 mL/min, water 4 – 40 °C.
  • Connections: ½” NPT inlet and outlet. The outlet must drain by gravity.
  • Upkeep: clean the sensor and flow cell monthly or as needed, replace the brush head yearly, and calibrate every six months (the low point only, for clean water).
